      • $37.47 per day Mon-Thurs.
      • $68.91 per day Friday to Sunday and Public Holidays.
      • Plus applicable penalty rates when on call.

About the role

This role contributes to the success of the City by responding to emergency after hours calls. 

Role accountabilities include:

  • Respond to after-hours emergency calls as directed by the Duty Officer (e.g. infrastructure repairs, traffic management, clearing hazards).
  • Communicate with the Duty Officer, team members, contractors, and the public to complete required work.
  • Carry out all activities in line with Work Health and Safety legislation and Council policies.
  • Participate in the after-hours roster (typically one week every 6–7 weeks).
  • Inspect and audit traffic management at civil works sites outside normal hours.

About you

The desired applicant will have the following:

  • Registration to Work with Vulnerable People
  • Current Driver Licence
  • Medium Rigid Driver Licence
  • White Card
  • Control traffic with stop-slow bat (RIIWHS205E)
  • Implement traffic management plan (RIIWHS302E)

They will also live within 30 minutes of Cleary’s Gates.
