About the role
Role accountabilities include:

Carry out day-to-day maintenance and construction of roads, footpaths, drainage systems, signage, and street furniture as part of a team.

Deliver work safely, efficiently, and in line with council standards, policies, and procedures.

Take part in daily toolbox meetings and contribute to a positive, productive team environment.

Operate plant and machinery safely, following training, manuals, and workplace instructions.

Monitor safety on site, report or fix hazards, and support the health and safety of your team and the public.

About you
The ideal candidate will hold a current driver licence, White Card, a Medium Rigid truck licence is desirable and worksite traffic management skills are highly regarded. Basic computer skills are also important to support the completion of asset management and safety documentation.
Bringing solid, hands-on experience in civil construction, you’ll be confident in tasks such as concreting, pipe laying and asphalting, and comfortable operating a range of plant and equipment including excavators, rollers, skid steer loaders and power tools. A strong understanding of workplace health and safety is essential, along with a proactive, practical approach to managing risks on site. This role will suit someone reliable, safety-focused and ready to be part of a hardworking team delivering important infrastructure for the community.
