About the role

Are you a certified Group Fitness Instructor who loves to motivate and inspire others to achieve their fitness goals? Do you enjoy creating and delivering fun and effective classes for a diverse range of participants? If you are hard-working and love all things fitness, then we want you! 

This role will provide a high quality, engaging group fitness classes to the members of DKHAC and the broader Hobart community. The role’s objective is to connect with our community through the power of group fitness to improve the overall health & wellbeing of our community.

Role accountabilities include:

  • Deliver engaging group fitness classes, including Les Mills programs, Pilates and Yoga.
  • Ensure participant safety and provide modifications when needed.
  • Support customers with class enquiries and provide friendly service.
  • Work collaboratively with the health and fitness team, sharing feedback and industry insights.
  • Follow the Centre’s emergency procedures when required.
  • Lead by example and help maintain a clean, safe and enjoyable environment for all staff and members.

About you

You inspire people to enjoy movement and feel their best. You design engaging fitness programs for all ages, communicate with ease, and bring a positive, supportive energy to every class. Safety, organisation and great customer service come naturally to you, and you consistently lead by example with strong personal fitness and professional behaviour.

Relevant Industry Qualifications are essential for this role. Qualifications required include:

  • Certificate III in Fitness or relevant qualifications in health and fitness to deliver a full range of Group Fitness programs.
  • Current Provide First Aid (HLTAID011).
  • Current Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009).
  • Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.

We would ideally love it if you were available for up to 7 days to cover our existing group fitness classes and gym floor shifts, however, also understand that sometimes life just happens. Our ideal candidate will be flexible, and we would also work with you for when you need your days off.
