Salary range: $74,667 to $88,305 per annum + 13.5% superannuation.
About the role
As a Technical Officer - Traffic, you will play a key role in supporting the City Transport team to deliver safe, efficient, and responsive transport services across the City. This position is vital in ensuring compliance with the Local Government (Highways) Act 1982 and maintaining the smooth operation of road and traffic management systems.
Role accountabilities include:
- Coordinate and issue permits for traffic management and parking exemptions, including road closures for works and events.
- Respond to public inquiries and assess requests related to traffic signage, line marking, and residential parking permits
- Collect and analyse traffic and movement data to support strategic planning and customer service responses
- Assist in active travel initiatives, including stakeholder engagement and school-based travel planning.
