Salary range: $91,137 to $99,634 per annum + 13% superannuation.

About the role
This role supports the City's success by assisting with financial analysis, reporting, and the preparation of the annual Budget Estimates. Additionally, it involves helping other Council staff with financial information and requests, as well as monitoring and reporting on financial matters.
Role accountabilities include:
- Aid in annual budget preparation under the guidance of the Business Analyst.
- Support in the creation of financial reports.
- Monitor and report on the Council's received grant funding.
- Oversee and report on the Council's capital budgets, including individual projects.
- Assist managers in reviewing monthly budget variances.

We are looking for an Assistant Budget Analyst with the following essential qualifications and experience:
- An Advanced Diploma or higher in Business, Accounting or a relevant discipline.
- Minimum two years of experience in a similar budgeting or finance role.
- Proficiency in accounting practices, financial management systems, Excel, and financial report writing is crucial for this role.
