Salary: Paid Remuneration from $164,376 to $ 216,788 + 13% Super + vehicle or vehicle offsets.

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide high-level oversight for the delivery of the City’s capital works program.
This role involves leading a multidisciplinary team to ensure end-to-end project delivery outcomes. Key responsibilities include the overall management and support for the development of robust project scopes, project design, survey services, and project construction.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Infrastructure and Assets and will collaborate closely with the Programming & Delivery, Design, and Survey teams.
Role accountabilities include but are not limited to:
- Understand and align with the organisation's strategic direction to ensure programs support Council objectives and community aspirations.
- Provide sound, strategically aligned advice that integrates across the organisation.
- Ensure work aligns with strategic plans and budgets, supporting the City Plan and Greater Hobart 2050 goals.
- Apply knowledge of the political, social, and legal environment to all initiatives and actions.
- Build and leverage key relationships to advocate for the City of Hobart community.
- Drive innovative planning and implementation of capital works programs to benefit the community and elevate Hobart.
- Anticipate challenges and opportunities, leading effective responses to enhance the city's sustainability and livability.
- Identify and address strategic threats and opportunities impacting the organisation.

The below are the essentials for the role;
- Bachelor Degree or higher in Civil Engineering or related discipline with relevant experience.
- Current Driver Licence.
- Extensive senior-level experience in delivering moderate to large-scale capital projects.
- Strong background in contract management, ensuring risks are mitigated and deliverables are met.
- Proven ability to lead customer or community-focused service models for optimal value and service excellence.
