About the role
This role supports the City’s success by coordinating and performing road asset management, project planning, maintenance, and management activities. It focuses on meeting the needs of internal clients while ensuring the sustainability of the Council’s Road infrastructure.
Role accountabilities include:
- Create specifications and briefs for road asset investigations and data collection and oversee internal or external providers to ensure the safe delivery of the required outcomes.
- Collaborate with Council’s Client/Service Custodians to develop community service levels, and accurately translate these into technical service levels within relevant operational documents.
- Keep track of advancements in road infrastructure technology related to road assets and develop modern replacement options. Aim to achieve the necessary levels of performance, sustainability, and reliability at the lowest possible asset life cycle cost.
- Provide information to assist in the preparation of the budget, unit plan, and the Roads Asset Management Plan.
- Assist in the management of the Roads Asset Register.

About you
We are looking for an enthusiastic Civil Engineer to join our Road Assets team. If you have a bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, and 3-5 years hands-on experience in road design, construction, asset management or maintenance, we want to hear from you. A valid driver’s license is a must.
