About the role

This role contributes to the success of the City by being responsible for the development, monitoring, review, and implementation of a consistent strategic framework across the various teams in the Open Space unit.

Role accountabilities include:

  • Lead research and analysis on complex projects and programs.
  • Prepare and review high-level communications, such as briefings and reports, to support decision-making. 
  • Deliver all projects with consideration of risk management and workplace health and safety measures to ensure that all activities operate within defined guidelines.

About you

Are you passionate about creating vibrant, sustainable, and inclusive public spaces? We are looking for a visionary Senior Advisor to lead our Open Space initiatives. 

Essential Qualifications: 

  • A bachelor’s degree in environmental management or Open Space Management, or demonstrated practical competence gained through years of relevant work experience.
  • Current Drivers Licence.

Desirable

  • Qualifications in Asset Management.
  • Experience in the management of complex projects and programs including planning, delivery, and reporting.
  • Certification in Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) or equivalent.
