About the role

This position plays a crucial role in the City’s success by effectively serving all aspects of events held in our Civic venues, and overseeing the daily operations including, hygiene, infection control and building safety standards for a range of Council facilities.

Role accountabilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Providing a high level of support with events and functions.
  • Cleaning, infection control and housekeeping duties.
  • Ordering and maintaining supplies. 
  • Liaising with stakeholders of Council facilities.

About you

The ideal candidate will have experience in events and/or function operations but this is not essential. They will have completed Year 10 and/or obtained a Certificate III in Cleaning Operations, along with demonstrated experience in cleaning or a related field. A can-do attitude, desire to work in a friendly team environment, and excellent attention to detail are essential qualities for success in this role. If you thrive in a high-volume work environment, then this position may be a great fit for you. You'll need to be available for a 7-day rostered week and capable of working extra hours if required.
